English language sources

I would like to point your attention to two other sources of information about Hungary and both are in English, both developed by non-Hungarians living in Hungary.

The first – as far as I know - is the first English language podcast coming from Hungary. (If anyone else claims this title please let me know.) It is called Budacast and you can find some more background information in this linked article. [Great thanks goes to Pocakos for the link!] Budapest describe its shows as: “The approximately 20-minute-long show will feature a weekly newscast, produced interviews, feature stories, and commentary in English”. Excellent, and best of luck from me to your innovative idea!

The other is not a blog, but an information portal dedicated especially international visitors staying for a longer time at Budapest. On Xpat Loop you can find out business, living and leisure information, right from the foreigners who are living in Hungary. They even put a good emphasis on the community building aspects, so if you are a foreigner living in Hungary they host a who is who section, where you can register or look at others. E.g. maybe look for Xpats from your own country who are also staying in Hungary.
